With over 18 years of industry experience, Dom has specialized in video, animation, and content creation. Working within TV, advertising and creative agencies, and across national and international corporates before launching Motion By Design in 2017 and Creative To Creative in 2022
Motion By Design has since fast-tracked to being a small agency with an national, and even international footprint. Dom’s passion for solving business problems through visual storytelling has attracted brands and government agencies across Australia. Dom’s dedication to the Motion By Design team and love for networking and connecting with others are evident in everything he does, making him a key influencer in the industry.
When he actually gets (or gives himself) a weekend off, Dom enjoys good food and wine, getting his hands dirty with some home renos, or working off the unlimited supply of delicious homemade croissants at the gym (his wife’s a talented baker!).
A powerhouse with over 10 years of experience in project management and marketing strategy, Yami utilises her broad career background and personable approach to streamline our work, manage internal and external communication, and keep everyone and every project moving forward.
Besides being the queen of organisation, our go-to problem solver and our sassy, social señorita, Yami’s a travel junkie who loves to immerse herself in different cultures, enjoys cooking up a storm in her kitchen, and treasures spending quality time with family and friends.
With over 10 years of international and interstate experience, Stephanie sprinkles her creative magic on all our projects, bringing our videos to life with amazing animation and motion graphic skills. An expert in After Effects, Steph’s love of design and meticulous eye for detail is unmatched, which is why she oversees all our creations and provides invaluable input and insights into each client project.
When she’s not in the office, Steph likes to get her zen on with a bit of yoga, chill out with a movie or series, or explore places far and wide, in Australia and across the globe—always giving her tick of approval with “cool, cool, cool” (Steph’s signature saying!).

Multi-skilled but specialising in animation/VFX/video editing/compositing, Kav’s keen eye for design and detail makes him a tech-savvy leader within the team—always guiding and supporting the crew at any opportunity.
With 8 years of experience and a genuine love for collaborating and creating with clients on anything animation and VFX, Kav likes to switch off with a cuppa tea and some PC video games, get his groove on with some raging techno beats, and watch movies or his favourite YouTube tech channels.
Matt’s our gun cinematographer, editor and in-house barista (although he refuses to take our orders!), who’s passionate about storytelling, particularly through advertising, commercials, or docos. With over 10 years of experience as a freelancer and in-house filmmaker, Matt’s confidence and capability in working as part of a crew or a one-man band consistently combines the dynamic yet beautiful imagery he captures into unique and meaningful creations for every project he collaborates on.
When he’s not filming or playing lacrosse, he’s at home with his four-legged mate Wilbur or dreaming about his next overseas adventure.
Our bold and fiery web wizard of the team with 6 years of experience, Tif’s a talented motion designer specialising in 2D animation and has been developing her skills in 3D animation for the past several years. One of our all-rounders, with her fingers also stuck in the creative pots of web development and graphic design, Tif transitioned from a decade-long career in the big corp IT world, switching to explore the visual art field, beginning her work as a motion designer internationally and falling in love with all things animation.
Besides being a gem with many talents, including playing piano and guitar, Tif loves to pack her bags and explore Australia with her wife, cuddle up with her two rescue kittens, or head out to enjoy a live gig and a few bevvies with mates.
With over 6 years of experience working with advertising and marketing agencies in graphic design and illustration, Amal’s work spans various industries, giving her an understanding that each project and brand is different, and therefore, communication and efficiency are essential in collaboration.
Proving that all great things come in small packages, Amal’s artistic flair touches all of our creations, ensuring that each brand’s message is shared through every doodle and design, whether it’s an animated character or environment asset. When she’s not working on all things visual or cruising around town on her bicycle, Amal likes to unleash her competitive side with her favourite board or horror video games.
Graduating with distinction from her combined Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Chi might be the quiet achiever of the group, but don’t let her chill and gentle approach fool you—her talent oozes out of her, and her impeccable attention to detail is one of the most fine-tuned in the team! Illustrator, graphic designer and storyteller, Chi’s passion and specialty are vector illustrations and character design, and that skillset shines through every time she creates magic for a client.
With an ability to simplify complex problems or messages with light-hearted illustrations that connect and incorporate an understanding of user psychology, Chi brings her 3 years of experience to our team, always lending a hand when we need her support. When she’s not in the gym or hiking, Chi loves a good road trip, always indulging in nature for some creative inspo.

Everything Motion By Design produces is bespoke to each client, so timings can vary. For a logo animation, you could have a finished product in 2-3 days. for a 60 second animation around 2 weeks. There are always ways to speed up a project, so if you have a tight deadline ask us if it’s possible!
Motion By Design provides quotes for each job based on the complexity of animation, illustration, and budget.
The price of your project is calculated by style, technique, and run-time.
We will run you through a few examples and discuss pricing options before providing you with a fixed price quote.
We have over 12 years of Advertising and Marketing experience that we use to ensure each video project will provide you with the desired outcomes. We provide the little things that others don’t – like cut-down videos for social media and even the illustration files if requested, so you can use all the fun assets we create on your website and socials.
We request 50% of the project total to be paid before work commences, the remainder is due 14 days after the job is completed.
You certainly will! However, we do request the right to use the work we have produced for you, in part or full, for our own marketing purposes. Once the project is completed we will provide you with video download links.
Motion By Design is a full-service agency – that means we do everything. We’ll meet with you, learn about your product and your goals, and create everything from scratch just for you.
If you already have a script in mind – that’s fine too! We’ll give it a once-over and make some suggestions (we have done this before), and come to a perfect solution that communicates to your audience and connects with them through your animation.
During the production process we have stages of approval to avoid any surprises at the end.
We have approval stages for Script, Illustration and Animation so at every major stage you can provide feedback before work commences. We allow for a reasonable amount of revision time in every project, and if it’s out of scope we’ll let you know before commencing any further work.
